Annual Conference for AMMPA brings in almost 400 attendees!

October 6-8, 2017

We wanted to extend a huge thank you to everyone that attended and participated in our AMMPA Annual Conference this October, in Orlando, Florida.

With Keynote Speeches from political figures, sponsoring and exhibiting companies which included well-known brands in the medical marijuana industry, and almost 400 physicians interested in expanding their knowledge base of medical cannabis, the AMMPA Annual Conference sought to combine it all into one exciting weekend.

The AMMPA Annual Conference was able to offer 15 AMA PRA CME Category 1 approved credit hours throughout 22 physician lead educational seminars over the course of 3 days.

As for the attendees, they not only came from Florida, but from almost every state in the US that has currently approved some form of medicinal cannabis use, and even some physicians from South Africa, England, and Germany. AMMPA’s Executive Director, Savara Hastings, was moved by the crowds response, “I’m thrilled with the turnout for this conference. We are the largest medical cannabis physicians association in the United States, and I am eager to pursue the opportunity to work with the physicians who are here from around the world and explore organizational goals with them.” They brought in over 300 attendees for their first Annual Conference.

Congressman Matt Gaetz authored Florida’s 2014 Medical Marijuana law, spoke about his experience during that time and also about his current Federal

legislation to reschedule marijuana from Schedule I to Schedule III. NYT bestselling author and Trump advisor, Roger Stone, shared his ideas about how to help shape the Trump administrations policy on marijuana in the next few years.
