Dr. Marcotte is a Professor of Psychiatry, Co-Director of the Center for Medicinal Cannabis Research, and Center Manager of the HIV Neurobehavioral Research Center. He also served as the Director of Mental Health for the UCSD Owen HIV Clinic, and Co-Director of CHARTER, a national multi-site study of the CNS impact of treatments for HIV. Dr. Marcotte received his B.A. from UCSD, M.A. from the University of Connecticut, Ph.D. in clinical psychology from CSPP-Los Angeles, and completed post-doctoral training in neuropsychology at UCSD. Jerzy Szaflarski, MD, PhD  |   Birmingham, AL

Jerzy P. Szaflarski, M.D., Ph.D. joined the University of Alabama at Birmingham Department of Neurology in the fall of 2013 as a Professor and as the Director of the Division of Epilepsy. He also directs the Level IV UAB Epilepsy Center. Dr. Szaflarski received his M.D. and Ph.D. from Collegium Medicum of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland. He then completed a neurology residency and later a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology and Epilepsy at University of Cincinnati. Dr. Szaflarski initiated his research career with a fellowship at the Medical College of Wisconsin in the laboratory of Dr. Jeffrey R. Binder, where he studied functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) acquisition and analysis.

Dr. Michelle Weiner, is the Director of Spine and Wellness Centers of America, treating patients in Boca Raton, Hollywood and Miami. She is also currently faculty at FIU (Florida International University) and Nova Southeastern University.  Dr. Weiner completed her residency and fellowship training at the University of Miami. Mrs. Crider was born and reared in Mt. Vernon, KY. She graduated from Duke University with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1995 and received her J.D. from the University of Kentucky College of Law in 1998. After graduation from law school, Cynthia worked in doing tobacco litigation defense. She also worked for over 10 years with her father, William D. Gregory in Mt. Vernon, KY, as a general practicing attorney.

Mrs. Crider moved to Florida and became licensed to practice in 2012. She is licensed to practice in is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Federal District Court in the Eastern District of Kentucky, the Federal District Court Middle District of Florida, and has been a Kentucky certified domestic relations mediator for over 15 years.

In addition to general law practice Mrs. Crider has experience in the areas of Trusts and Estates, Elder Law, Entertainment Law, Complex Transactional Law, Physician Contract Negotiation, Physician Business Planning, LLC Formation And Organization. Miguel De La Garza, MD

Dr. Miguel de la Garza is a board-certified physician who practices multidisciplinary interventional pain management in four offices in the Tampa Bay area. He performs interventional pain procedures, specializing in minimally invasive surgical decompression and/or fusion of herniated discs and spinal stenosis, implantable intrathecal pumps, spinal cord stimulation, and peripheral nerve stimulation. Dr. de la Garza has published numerous research papers and abstracts and has presented at regional and national academic conferences. He has lectured on the topics of anesthesia, interventional pain medicine, addiction, medical cannabis both nationally and internationally. He is also a consultant for numerous pharmaceutical and medical device companies and is a teaches interventional techniques for medical procedures. He is the current Vice President of the Florida Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, having received the service award in first year of being a board member. He has testified to Florida Medicaid Formulary Committee on the topics of opioid abuse, abuse deterrence and appropriate measures to fight opioid abuse, misuse and diversion; several abuse deterrent molecules became preferred and non-abuse deterrent formulations were eliminated. Expert testimony on similar topics to state of Florida House and Senate helped enact laws ensuring parity of ADOs and non ADOs. He has also provided written correspondence to FDA subcommittees on topics of Abuse Deterrent Formulation standards. He is a member of Florida Society for Interventional Pain Physicians and Florida Medical Association Political Action Committee Boards. He is contributing author and editor for pain components of CME course and textbook: “Essential Elements of Personalized Analgesic Medicine.” CME course is provided by LP3 Network internationally in United States, Canada and Australia, subsidiary of  Medisca International. Joseph Rosado, MD, MBA   |   Orlando, FL

After spending several years in central Florida working as an EMT/P, Dr. Rosado realized his passion for the medical profession. He started chiropractic school at Life College in Marietta, GA where he graduated with a BS degree in Clinical Nutrition and a doctor of chiropractic degree.

After practicing for several years, he went on to Universidad Central del Este, in San Pedro de Macoris where in 2001 he graduated with his medical degree. After working as physician and clinic Director in Salt Lake City, UT, team physician for the Costa Rican Institute of Recreation and Sports, and staff physician at Hospital Metropolitano in San Juan, PR; Dr. Rosado relocated back to Florida. In 2005 Dr. Rosado completed his MBA in Health Care Management from University of Phoenix.

Once back in Florida, he worked as the Director of the Communicable Disease Division/ Epidemiology and immunization departments as well as the Sr. Lead Physician at ST. Johns County Health Department. Dr. Rosado then moved on to Tricounty Hospital in Williston, FL to be the medical director, and also worked in a private practice with the Institute of Medical and Cardiovascular Excellence (IME/ICE) in Williston and The Villages providing primary and functional/regenerative care. Upon resigning from both Tricounty Hospital and ICE, he has worked as a physician at the North FL Evaluation and Treatment Center in Gainesville, FL, Pinellas County Jail in Clearwater, FL, Escambia County Jail in Pensacola, FL, North East Family Health Source in Pierson, Deltona and Deland, FL, Genesis Family Practice in Orange City, FL and Comprehensive Health Center in Orlando, FL.
